Skin Complexion Analysis by Visia®

Get a free custom complexion analysis with our Visia® facial imaging system. During the analysis, IntelliFlash®, cross-polarized and UV lighting are used to record and measure surface and subsurface skin conditions. UV photography provides the most thorough data available for sun damage assessment and analysis. Red and Brown skin components are separated to reveal conditions such as spider veins, hyper-pigmentation, rosacea, and acne.

Following your analysis, Dr. Sanders and our expert esthetician staff can develop an ongoing skin care treatment plan to make your skin look and feel its best.

Medical Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a skin-freshening technique that helps repair facial skin by “sandblasting” and vacuuming, which peels the top layers of the skin and stimulates new growth. Effective skin care treatments like microdermabrasion, greatly improve superficial acne scars, fine lines, sun damage, minor pigment problems, large pores, and uneven skin tone.

At Knight and Sanders, you will receive some of the most effective treatments and notice enhanced results with lesser downtime. Depending on the progress, our doctors may require multiple sessions and advanced treatments and individualized skin care programs to achieve maximum results.

Chemical Peel

Chemical peeling dates as far back as ancient Egypt, when an abrasive mask consisting of alabaster particles, milk, and honey was found to remove wrinkles and produce smoother skin. In modern times, it has become a technique often used by facial plastic surgeons to help patients maintain youthful-looking skin to treat wrinkles, skin pigmentation and acne scaring.

We use the SkinMedica Peel System, which consists of three chemical peels with different acid strengths, designed to produce various degrees of exfoliation based on each patient’s individual needs.

SkinMedica’s lightest peel, appropriate for first-time chemical-peel patients or patients looking for a gentle superficial peel to make their skin brighter, tighter, and more radiant.

This peel is suitable for all skin types, requires little to no downtime, and produces predictable and noticeable results after just one peel. The Vitalize peel is deeper than the Illuminize peel and smoothes fine lines and wrinkles.

The deepest peel of the three, our Rejuvenize Peel penetrates in the deep layers of the epidermis and produces the most amount of exfoliation. This peel helps to improve acne, hyper-pigmentation, and melasma while also smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and rough textures.

TNS Essential Serum

Every time your skin is exposed to the sun, pollution, smoking, and other environmental stressors, it loses some of the nutrients that keep it healthy and youthful. Today, science has discovered a way to help restore what time takes away. TNS Essential Serum with NouriCel-MD is a patented formulation, designed to boost your skin’s natural growth factors – the antioxidants, matrix proteins, and collagens it needs for optimal health. NouriCel-MD, which has a very high concentration of proteins, play a crucial role in maintaining healthy skin.

The TNS Essential Serum must be applied twice daily, after cleansing and toning the skin and prior to applying other products, including sunscreen. Our clinical studies show that the best results occur after using the product for three months or more.

Benefits
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reduces of age spots and depigmentation
  • Reduces roughness and firms skin texture
  • Improves skin texture and elasticity, and may help to reduce Photo-damage

MicroNeeding

Also called Skin Needling, or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), Micro-Needling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of the MicroPen which contains fine needles. These needles are used to gently puncture the skin. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Through this procedure, patients see improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

A Platelet-Rich plasma (PRP) with micro-needling treatment can be done during a short office visit, and requires the withdrawal of a small amount of blood. The tube is then placed into a centrifuge and spun to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then applied back into the skin during micro-needling. Platelets are then applied back to the skin to promote healing and the release of growth factors that respond to tissue injury.

MicroGlide GF is the latest addition to the Eclipse MicroPen procedure. It is specifically designed for use during micro-needling to aid in the lubrication and enhancement of the skin. MicroGlide GF can also be used in conjunction with other applications including microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing. MicroGlide GF uses human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cell growth factor (GF) to optimize the skin’s response to the Eclipse MicroPen procedure. The benefits of GF are recognized for promoting skin cell proliferation and neocollagenesis.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) plays an important role in tissue hydration, lubrication, and cellular function. Retention of water is one of the most important biological functions of hyaluronic acid, second only to providing nutrients and removing waste from cells that do not have a direct blood supply, such as cartilage cells. With a lower than adequate amount of hyaluronic acid, nutrients cannot be moved into these cells and waste cannot be eliminated from cells. With a micro-needling treatment using hyaluronic acid you will see an increase in skin smoothness and softening, and a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles.
